Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures with focus and precision to support accurate diagnoses
- Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently while following established protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging, explaining procedures and answering questions
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control standards for patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to coordinate imaging services
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging records
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate preventive maintenance as needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment that puts patient care first
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience (as specified)
- Hands-on experience as a CT technologist in a radiology setting
- Familiarity with CT imaging protocols and patient positioning for diagnostic quality
- State licensure or certification appropriate for CT technologists (ARRT or state equivalent is commonly expected)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain (commonly requested)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or CT program (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy
- Radiation safety principles and infection control best practices
- Proficiency with PACS/DICOM and electronic medical record documentation
- Patient communication and compassionate care skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and prioritize urgent imaging needs
- Attention to detail for image quality, labeling, and records
