Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Support meal service and ensure residents receive appropriate feeding assistance
- Follow infection control practices and help maintain a safe, clean environment
- Engage residents with respectful communication and person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active LNA license (VT or NH) appropriate for work in the region
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Valid TB test and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working in long shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of state-approved nursing assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
- Clear communication and teamwork with nursing staff and residents
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
- Empathy, patience, and respect for resident dignity
