Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, helping with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team.
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support while using proper body mechanics.
• Document resident care thoroughly and communicate observations to nurses and family as appropriate.
• Support infection control and hygiene standards to keep residents and coworkers safe.
• Contribute to person-centered care plans and help create a warm, respectful environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification — NH or VT licensure as applicable.
• Comfortable and able to work extended daytime shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) as needed for per diem coverage.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility health/immunization requirements.
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a caring attitude toward residents and families.

Education

• Completion of state-approved LNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques.
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation.
• Accurate documentation and charting practices.
• Infection control principles and safe hygiene practices.
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with multidisciplinary staff.
