Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Scrub and circulate for a wide range of cases, with emphasis on vascular and endovascular procedures
- Maintain strict sterile technique and uphold infection control standards throughout each case
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes
- Prepare and position patients for surgery, anticipating needs and equipment requirements
- Monitor patient condition intraoperatively and document accurately for continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Georgia or Compact
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Operating Room experience
- Strong vascular and endovascular case experience required
- Recent Level 1 trauma center experience required (must be reflected in work history)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Perioperative nursing and sterile technique expertise
- Scrub and circulating roles for vascular and endovascular cases
- Trauma-informed care and high-acuity surgical experience
- Intraoperative patient monitoring and accurate clinical documentation
- Effective teamwork and clear communication with multi-disciplinary surgical teams
- Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, OR workflows, and safety protocols
