Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends (variable day and night assignments; no block schedules — must be willing to work given shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert high-acuity nursing care for trauma, surgical, spinal and neuro patients
- Perform timely assessments and develop individualized nursing plans of care
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent outcomes
- Operate within EPIC for charting, orders and documentation with accuracy
- Respond quickly to emergencies including gunshot wounds and complex trauma situations
- Support mobility, rehabilitation and specialized care for quadriplegic and paraplegic patients
- Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication during critical moments
- Maintain certifications and documentation required for assignment compliance
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state of practice) and ability to complete Nursys license verification
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC experience required — charting and order entry confidence
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in trauma, surgical or high-acuity specialty
- Clean, up-to-date certification cards and professional references
- Complete candidate profile including resume/work history (no gaps greater than 60 days), skills checklist and badge-appropriate photo
- Willingness to work assigned shifts (no block schedules)
Knowledge & Skills
- Trauma nursing and surgical nursing best practices
- High-acuity patient management and critical thinking under pressure
- Neuro/spinal care including care for quadriplegic and paraplegic patients
- Experience with care of gunshot wound patients and other complex trauma
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
- Strong communication, teamwork and patient education skills
- Basic and advanced life support knowledge (BLS and ACLS)
