Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function to create individualized care plans
• Design and deliver evidence-based therapy programs that help patients meet meaningful goals
• Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational and physical therapists, physicians and families to coordinate holistic care
• Provide family and caregiver education to promote carryover and functional outcomes
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain professional licensure, mandatory training and compliance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) — Maryland license or ability to obtain state licensure
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent) and ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Experience in adult rehab/acute care settings preferred; strong assessment and treatment skills
• Current CPR/BLS certification (facility requirement may apply)
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in dysphagia assessment and treatment, cognitive-communication and voice/fluency interventions
• Knowledge of standardized assessment tools and goal writing best practices
• Proficient with electronic health records and timely clinical documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary care teams
• Comfortable providing patient/caregiver education and training
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) approaches a plus
