Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality adult med‑surg and acute care nursing to patients on nights, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
• Monitor telemetry and recognize/respond to changes in cardiac rhythms and patient status
• Coordinate care for patients undergoing hybrid cath lab procedures and support peri-procedural needs
• Deliver intermediate/CCU-level care when needed, following ACLS protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions from observation to inpatient status and back
• Participate in the unit's call rotation and staffing adjustments to support patient safety during high census periods

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• Current BLS (American Heart Association) (required)
• Current ACLS (American Heart Association) (required for intermediate/CCU duties)
• Minimum acute care/med‑surg/telemetry RN experience (candidate statements reference both a 2‑year minimum and at least 3 years of med‑surg RN experience — please confirm with recruiter)
• Comfort working 12‑hour night shifts and participating in weekend rotations and call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med‑surg and telemetry assessment skills
• Experience with acute and chronic disease state management
• Familiarity with CCU/intermediate care processes and ACLS protocols
• Exposure to or comfort supporting hybrid cath lab procedures
• Effective clinical documentation and interdisciplinary communication
• Ability to manage fluctuating census and prioritize patient safety on nights
