Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 nights/week (includes every-other-weekend coverage; 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; holidays as needed)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient placement across assigned hospitals using TeleTracking and the EMR
- Assign appropriate beds quickly and accurately to keep patient flow moving
- Communicate effectively with ED staff, charge nurses, and leadership to resolve placement issues
- Use critical thinking to evaluate bed requests and recommend appropriate placement to leadership when needed
- Manage multiple applications and screens simultaneously (TeleTrac, Cerner, Google apps, chats) to maintain situational awareness
- Document placement actions and escalate concerns to supervisors when necessary
- Support unit leadership remotely; this role involves zero hands-on patient care but high-impact decision making
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience preferred (recent acute care required)
- Hands-on experience with TeleTracking and Cerner (must have)
- Strong computer skills and comfort using multiple apps and chat platforms (Google Workspace, Zoom helpful)
- Excellent multitasking, customer service, and communication skills
- House supervisor experience or knowledge is strongly preferred
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Bed management and patient placement workflows
- TeleTracking (bed placement systems) expertise
- Cerner EMR experience; EPIC familiarity is a plus
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zoom
- Triage thinking and unit/department distinctions (MedSurg vs Telemetry, ED needs)
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage several screens/applications and prioritize rapidly
