Position Title: Travel Phlebotomist – Lab (837)
Facility: Mission Health – Memorial Campus
Location: Asheville, NC
Unit: Laboratory Phlebotomy
Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Monday–Wednesday
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Projected Start Date: 02/16/2026
Perform blood collection using venipuncture and heel stick techniques across inpatient and outpatient settings
Collect specimens from adult, pediatric, neonatal, and geriatric patients
Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, handling, and transport of specimens according to protocols
Maintain infection control and safety standards during all procedures
Provide excellent patient-centered care and communication during specimen collection
Operate Workstations on Wheels and utilize Cerner for documentation
Collaborate with laboratory staff, nurses, and healthcare teams to ensure timely specimen processing
Handle high-volume workloads while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Follow hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy equipment and work areas
Adapt to fast-paced hospital and emergency department environments
Demonstrate ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances throughout the facility
Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
Hospital and emergency department phlebotomy experience preferred
Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred
Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills
Phlebotomy Certification (required)
BLS (if applicable)
Caribbean Blue scrubs
