Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and promptly identify rhythm changes
Respond to alarms and escalate concerns to nursing and providers quickly
Maintain accurate monitoring logs and electronic documentation
Collaborate with the clinical team to support safe, timely patient care
Troubleshoot monitor connections and equipment to ensure reliable data
Assist with basic patient observations and communicate findings clearly

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; completed telemetry/monitoring program preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
Prior experience with telemetry monitoring or clinical monitoring preferred
Strong rhythm recognition skills or demonstrated willingness to learn
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Telemetry/monitoring program certificate or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of cardiac rhythms and common telemetry findings
Familiarity with monitor hardware and basic troubleshooting
Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation
Strong attention to detail and pattern recognition
Good judgment and escalation skills when abnormalities are detected
Team-oriented mindset and clear verbal/written communication
