Roles & Responsibilities

• Support interventional radiology procedures by preparing patients, instruments and the imaging suite
• Assist with vascular and non-vascular procedures including PICC and C-line placements
• Prepare and support paracentesis, thoracentesis and biopsy procedures with attention to patient safety
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment including Phillips biplane systems under supervision
• Support embolizations and filter placements, anticipating needs of the physician and team
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate updates to the care team
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure procedural areas are clean and stocked
• Collaborate with nurses, technologists and physicians to deliver efficient, compassionate care

Qualifications

• RT-R certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• Experience with PICC, C-lines, paracentesis, thoracentesis, embolizations and biopsies preferred
• Comfortable with on-call and weekend coverage
• Neuro IR experience is a strong plus

Education

• RT-R certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record
• Experience using Philips biplane imaging systems
• Strong aseptic and sterile procedure skills
• Excellent patient monitoring and peri-procedural care
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced procedural suite
• Clear communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Accurate procedural documentation and attention to detail
