Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (36 hours guaranteed); schedule varies, must be willing to float to other units

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess residents and patients thoroughly each shift and implement nursing interventions that make a real difference
- Carry out and evaluate individualized plans of care, adjusting as patient needs change
- Supervise and mentor nursing assistants to ensure safe, compassionate care
- Maintain a safe resident environment and follow all Villa policies and the State Nurse Practice Act
- Document care accurately and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Promote exceptional care, passionate service, and unexpected luxury in daily interactions
- Support infection control practices, including COVID-19 vaccination policies or approved exemptions
Qualifications
- Active Michigan LPN license (must be active at time of submission)
- Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current SNF/LTC or Med-Surg experience
- BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current)
- COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption
- Previous travel experience required
- Ability and willingness to float to other units where experienced
- Flexible scheduling availability and reliable professional references
- Ability to complete required skills checklist within 1 year and provide resume/work history
Education
- LPN diploma or certificate required
- Active Michigan LPN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Proven ability to implement and evaluate plans of care
- Resident/patient safety management and fall prevention
- Experience supervising nursing assistants and supporting team performance
- Familiarity with JCAHO standards and facility policies
- Excellent customer service, mentoring, and communication skills
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and maintaining required compliance items (skills checklist, iCHAT/fingerprinting authorization)
