Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures with compassion and clear communication
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment used in vascular and interventional procedures
• Assist physicians and the clinical team during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and following safety protocols
• Monitor patient vitals and status throughout procedures and recovery, reporting changes promptly
• Manage contrast media and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and safe handling
• Complete accurate documentation in the patient record and support quality assurance initiatives
• Participate in required competency testing (Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, Specialty Exam) to maintain excellence
• Support infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe procedural environment

Qualifications

• BLS certification (required)
• Valid radiologic technologist license/certification as required by Nevada (license/certificate verification required)
• Prefer at least 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related procedural imaging
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam (or willingness to complete)
• Ability to meet facility health requirements (vaccinations, TB test, fit test, drug screen)
• Comfort with on-call duties and rotating weekend coverage

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program or equivalent
• ARRT registration or equivalent credential preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Experience with fluoroscopic imaging and procedural equipment
• Radiation safety and patient positioning expertise
• Excellent patient care and communication skills to ease procedural anxieties
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and EHR workflows
• Team-oriented mindset; able to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff
