Shift Type: Part-time outpatient clinic schedule (exact start/end times negotiable); clinic days seeing approximately 14–16 patients per clinic day; includes shared on-call duties and weekend rotation — daytime clinic with rotating on-call/weekend coverage

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient oncology care with a patient-centered approach
- Perform occasional inpatient consults and coordinate inpatient-outpatient transitions
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cancer conditions
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient
- Collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, nurses, and support staff in multidisciplinary care
- Participate in shared on-call duties and weekend rotations as part of the care team
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans using Cerner Community Works EMR
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis
- Stay current with oncology advancements through continuing education and clinical research
- Contribute to a culture of compassion, quality, and teamwork in the community hospital setting
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology (as stated in the posting)
- MD or DO degree (clinical physician qualification implied for this role)
- Experience in outpatient cancer care and ability to provide inpatient consults
- Comfortable using Cerner Community Works for EMR documentation
- Willingness to participate in shared on-call duties and weekend rotations
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care
- Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine and ongoing professional development
Education
- MD or DO (medical degree)
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology
