Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care in Level III NICU settings
- Manage critically ill newborns including advanced respiratory support and neonatal therapies
- Lead multidisciplinary care plans in collaboration with pediatric subspecialists (cardiology, surgery, neurology, pulmonology, gastroenterology)
- Perform and oversee advanced interventions such as high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), and therapeutic hypothermia
- Participate in on-call coverage, weekend rotations and consults to ensure continuous patient care
- Contribute to teaching, mentorship and Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes
- Help grow and shape a newly established neonatology practice while maintaining excellent clinical standards
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology (fellowship-trained)
- Eligible for or willing to obtain Nevada medical licensure
- Experience in Level III NICU care (open to new fellowship graduates through 2025)
- Comfortable with mechanical ventilation, high-frequency ventilation (jet/oscillator), iNO and therapeutic hypothermia
- Ability to collaborate closely with pediatric subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams
- Visa sponsorship eligible candidates considered; locum candidates not accepted
Education
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatology (Board Certified or Board Eligible)

- Neonatal intensive care and NICU management
- Mechanical ventilation support and high-frequency ventilation techniques
- Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) and therapeutic hypothermia (body cooling)
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with pediatric subspecialists
- Pediatric subspecialty coordination and patient-centered care planning
- Teaching, mentorship and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) practices
