Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on physical therapy assessments and create individualized treatment plans to help patients regain function
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including therapeutic exercise and manual therapy, to produce measurable outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and update goals to ensure continuous improvement and meaningful results
- Document clinical progress accurately and promptly in the electronic health record to maintain high-quality care
- Educate patients and families to promote long-term self-management and independence
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Manage caseload effectively and prioritize patient needs to maximize outcomes
- Foster a positive clinic culture that supports colleagues and enhances the patient experience
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Minnesota or ability to obtain Minnesota licensure promptly
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy acceptable where applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
- Previous outpatient experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy acceptable where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Musculoskeletal evaluation and tailored treatment planning
- Therapeutic exercise prescription with safe progression
- Strong manual therapy and hands-on treatment techniques
- Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
- Good time management and caseload prioritization
- Ability to engage patients and educate families effectively
- Comfort working in a community clinic setting and collaborating with a care team
