Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized care plans that promote recovery
• Plan, implement, and evaluate coordinated patient care with multidisciplinary teams
• Use strong nursing judgment to detect early changes and escalate care promptly
• Provide clear, compassionate education and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate professionally to resolve conflicts and keep the unit functioning smoothly
• Participate in Core Measure responsibilities and ongoing education to uphold clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current CPR/BLS required; ACLS required
• PALS and NRP preferred depending on unit
• Experience in acute care settings preferred (ICU, Progressive Care, Cardiac, or Emergency)
• Willingness and ability to work 10-hour day shifts and provide occasional on-call coverage
• Eligible to work as W2 or C2C
• Strong professional communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment with attention to early deterioration and rapid intervention
• Strong nursing clinical judgment and rapid clinical decision-making
• Clear patient and team communication, including conflict management
• Accurate documentation and adherence to Core Measures
• Familiarity with ACLS, PALS, and NRP principles and emergency response
• Team-based collaboration to deliver coordinated care
