Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality in-center dialysis care that improves patient outcomes
- Educate and empower patients about treatments and at-home self-care in clear, friendly language
- Supervise and mentor dialysis technicians to ensure safe, effective treatments and team growth
- Adjust and implement individualized treatment plans based on standing orders and patient needs
- Administer medications safely, monitor responses closely, and act on clinical changes
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists for holistic patient support
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold strict infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic performance and patient safety
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or compact multistate RN license
- American Heart Association CPR certification with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with prior dialysis experience required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Comfort supervising and mentoring technicians with demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
- Willingness and ability to travel between Kitsap Peninsula clinic locations
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and patient-centered care skills
- Familiarity with dialysis equipment and treatment monitoring
- Infection control best practices and precise clinical documentation
- Effective patient education and clear communication techniques
- Clinical critical thinking, triage, and basic emergency response skills
- Ability to participate in and contribute to quality improvement projects
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and colleagues
- Proficiency with EMR systems and ability to supervise clinical staff
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
