Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality in-center dialysis care that improves patient outcomes
• Educate and empower patients about treatments and at-home self-care in clear, friendly language
• Supervise and mentor dialysis technicians to ensure safe, effective treatments and team growth
• Adjust and implement individualized treatment plans based on standing orders and patient needs
• Administer medications safely, monitor responses closely, and act on clinical changes
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists for holistic patient support
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold strict infection control standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic performance and patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or compact multistate RN license
• American Heart Association CPR certification with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience with prior dialysis experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Comfort supervising and mentoring technicians with demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
• Willingness and ability to travel between Kitsap Peninsula clinic locations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and patient-centered care skills
• Familiarity with dialysis equipment and treatment monitoring
• Infection control best practices and precise clinical documentation
• Effective patient education and clear communication techniques
• Clinical critical thinking, triage, and basic emergency response skills
• Ability to participate in and contribute to quality improvement projects
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients and colleagues
• Proficiency with EMR systems and ability to supervise clinical staff
• Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
