Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform emergent and routine diagnostic X-ray exams using fixed and portable equipment to produce clear, diagnostic images
• Operate CT scanners following radiologist protocols to acquire precise CT images
• Adjust exposure settings and position patients to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure using ALARA principles
• Process and route images into PACS and maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Assist with contrast media administration for CT exams and monitor patients for safety and comfort
• Lead and participate in equipment quality control and radiation safety initiatives to maintain clinical excellence
• Communicate clearly with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to ensure efficient, safe imaging workflows
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and outstanding customer service to patients and colleagues

Qualifications

• Active R.T.(R)(ARRT) credential with current registration required
• Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the facility
• Preferred minimum of 1 year CT technologist experience; entry-level candidates with proper credentials will be considered
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage when scheduled
• Excellent patient communication skills and a commitment to compassionate care

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology
• R.T.(R)(ARRT) registration required
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with CT and X-ray technology and image optimization techniques
• Radiographic procedures, radiation physics, and ALARA safety principles
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as applied to imaging
• Familiarity with PACS image processing and electronic medical record workflows
• Experience with equipment quality control procedures and routine checks
• Knowledge of contrast media administration protocols and patient monitoring
• Strong patient safety practices, regulatory compliance, teamwork, and customer service
• Comfortable working in emergent and routine imaging environments
