Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care using strong clinical judgment
- Perform independent nursing procedures safely and in line with facility protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans
- Monitor, document, and promptly communicate changes in patient status and treatment responses
- Educate and support patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols to ensure culturally sensitive, high-quality care
- Support culturally appropriate care for Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities
- Maintain a calm clinical presence during urgent situations and be a dependable team member
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted Nursing License valid in any U.S. state, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA)
- TCAR completion within 6 months of hire or willingness to complete
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within 6 months of hire or willingness to complete
- Comfortable working independently while following physician orders and hospital protocols
- Cultural sensitivity and experience or willingness to work with Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities
Education
- ADN preferred
- BSN preferred

- Critical thinking and strong clinical judgment for complex patient needs
- Clear, compassionate communication for patient education and teamwork
- Proficiency in patient assessment and common nursing care procedures
- Accurate and timely documentation of patient responses and clinical changes
- Effective teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Cultural sensitivity and respect when serving Native communities
- Ability to work independently while following established protocols and physician orders
