Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT exams using modern scanners to produce diagnostic images that guide patient care
- Position patients with compassion and safety while applying radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Operate PACS and imaging systems to acquire, process, and archive studies accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, accurate diagnoses
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols
- Participate in equipment quality control and routine maintenance to ensure reliable imaging
- Educate patients clearly and compassionately about procedures and contrast safety
- Troubleshoot basic imaging equipment issues and escalate when needed to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential (required)
- Current ARRT (CT) credential (required)
- Unencumbered Oregon Radiologic Technology license (required)
- Healthcare Provider BLS (required)
- Hospital or acute care imaging experience preferred
- Willing and available to take a travel assignment to Lincoln City, OR
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate degree preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of CT protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Familiarity with PACS, DICOM standards, and image post-processing
- Solid understanding of radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
- Excellent patient positioning skills and IV/contrast awareness
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic troubleshooting and equipment quality control awareness
