Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the assigned shift
• Perform focused assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families with clear, reassuring explanations
• Escalate clinical concerns promptly to ensure patient safety and quality
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and follow infection-control standards

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications welcome
• Comfortable working independently on per diem assignments with sound clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proof of required immunizations or ability to obtain them per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Clear, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Patient/family education and bedside manner that puts people at ease
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Professional, collaborative communication with interdisciplinary teams
