Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Start Date: 06-29-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care across all patient populations from neonates to geriatrics
- Deliver critical support in Level II trauma, NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Make independent clinical judgments and adapt care plans in real time
- Operate advanced equipment including Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, and V-60 ventilators
Qualifications
- Current RRT or CRT credential
- Active North Dakota state respiratory therapy license
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Proven NICU experience essential
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ventilator management across multiple platforms
- Excellent assessment and critical-thinking abilities
- Comfortable covering inpatient, ER, and specialty care areas
- Team-oriented yet self-directed approach
- Clear communication with physicians and nursing colleagues
