Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead ICU charge nurse duties across multiple critical care units including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Respond to hospital-wide codes and rapid responses while supporting the care team
Float within a 60-mile zone to provide expert ICU nursing at various facilities as needed
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilated patients with RT support
Mentor staff and ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with prior charge nurse experience
Epic experience preferred; first-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience and Epic proficiency
Comfortable floating across ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and drip titration skills
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Experience with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Excellent communication and rapid response leadership
Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and floating requirements
