Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling with every other weekend, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday required, standby call required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for newborns in our Level 2 NICU environment
Attend deliveries as the baby nurse and support families during critical moments
Manage phototherapy, respiratory distress, and hypoglycemia cases with skill and compassion
Start and maintain IVs while monitoring Bubble CPAP and Hi-Flow therapies
Assist with umbilical line placement and ongoing maintenance
Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments to support the entire LDRP unit
Titrate D5W and TPN drips to ensure optimal newborn nutrition and recovery
Collaborate with our 24/7 neonatologist and dedicated care team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington
NRP and BLS certifications required
Experience attending deliveries as the baby nurse preferred
Skilled in IV start and maintenance
Familiarity with Bubble CPAP, Hi-Flow, and umbilical line procedures
Ability to flex between NICU Level 2 and postpartum couplet care

Knowledge & Skills

Level 2 NICU and postpartum experience
Proficiency with phototherapy and withdrawal protocols
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to respond quickly during deliveries and emergencies
Comfortable working with limited monitoring technology
