Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Assess and treat patients with diverse conditions including joint replacements, spinal surgery, stroke recovery, and general medical needs
Develop individualized rehabilitation plans that help patients regain strength and mobility
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive acute inpatient care
Document patient progress and adjust treatment approaches to maximize recovery outcomes

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Comfortable working with varied patient populations from general ortho to neurological cases

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient assessment abilities
Experience with post-surgical rehabilitation protocols
Knowledge of acute care physical therapy practices
Ability to manage diverse caseloads efficiently
