Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; may require a Saturday or Sunday depending on weekend needs, with a day off during the week when working weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care across acute care, ICU, MedSurg, oncology, and cardiology units
Deliver specialized treatment for orthopedic and total joint replacement patients
Manage therapy interventions for ventilated patients in the ICU
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Develop individualized treatment plans that support each patient's unique recovery goals
Document care using Cerner EMR to ensure seamless communication across the care team

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in orthopedics, total joints, and ICU/ventilator management
Comfortable working across MedSurg, oncology, and cardiology patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy across multiple hospital units
Orthopedic and total joint rehabilitation expertise
ICU and ventilator patient management
Cerner EMR documentation proficiency
Ability to adapt quickly and work independently
