Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from orthopedic, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Monitor patients through both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth transitions from the operating room to recovery
Respond to on-call needs every six weeks, supporting the unit during critical moments
Float to support other areas as needed while maintaining high standards of patient care
Utilize Epic EMR to document care accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Previous ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfort managing ICU-level patients in the PACU setting
Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to adapt to variable start times and on-call rotations
