Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate emergency care to patients with lower acuity needs including abdominal pain and headaches
• Stabilize and transfer critically ill patients while maintaining excellent clinical standards
• Perform all lab work, EKGs, physical therapy assistance, and patient transfers
• Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, and mid-level providers to deliver seamless care
• Float between Glendale FSED and Litchfield FSED as needed while maintaining high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain positive unit culture through teamwork and supportive interactions with colleagues

Qualifications

• Current RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment DYS exam with two attempts allowed
• Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Clean driving record and reliable personal vehicle required for travel between facilities
• Natural hair color with no facial piercings and clean-shaven appearance for men to meet fit test requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing with focus on ESI 3-4 patient populations
• Maintaining sterile field during procedures
• Patient assessment and stabilization techniques
• Effective communication within multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability when floating between free-standing emergency departments
