Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Monitor patients during antepartum, triage, labor, and postpartum stages with a 1:2 ratio
Administer medications including Pitocin, Insulin, fluids, and antibiotics using Alaris IV pumps
Collaborate with the charge nurse and team to ensure safe, high-quality care for up to 125 births annually
Support newborn care and assessments in a 4-bed unit focused on family-centered experiences

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of labor and delivery or LDRP experience
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for labor and postpartum patients
Comfortable managing common drips and newborn care
Ability to work collaboratively in a small, supportive unit
Willingness to assist in MedSurg when needed
