Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with trades allowed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
Independently manage patient assignments while supporting teammates as backup
Titrate Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips with precision and care
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac rhythms using centralized systems
Stabilize and transfer neonates using vent and Bubble CPAP equipment when needed
Float to other units as a helping hand when the floor is quiet or busy
Deliver compassionate care to approximately 30-35 births each month

Qualifications

Current Oregon RN license or ability to obtain 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently across all areas with minimal supervision
Comfortable floating and adapting to changing patient volumes

Knowledge & Skills

AWHONN-aligned patient ratios and evidence-based practices
Central fetal monitoring and maternal telemetry interpretation
Titration of induction/augmentation and critical drips
Neonatal stabilization and transfer protocols
Block scheduling and collaborative team coverage
