Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients with trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and respiratory conditions
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications while closely monitoring patient response
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech support
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver safe, patient-centered care
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes when required

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Drip titration for cardiac, insulin, and sedation medications
Ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen management
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for complex ICU patients
Ability to float between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg units
