Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to high-acuity cardiac surgery patients including CABG, TAVR, and transplant recipients
Monitor and manage advanced devices such as IABP, ECMO, Impella, and CRRT
Perform bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, Swan-Ganz catheter placements, and epidurals
Collaborate with intensivists and the multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving interventions
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units while maintaining exceptional patient ratios
Maintain sterile technique during frequent procedures and uphold the highest safety standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of ICU experience with Level I Trauma background
CVICU experience strongly preferred
CCRN certification a plus
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
Must demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac surgery recovery knowledge
Mechanical circulatory support experience
Proficient with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry
Excellent IV skills and sterile field maintenance
Comfortable floating between ICU and telemetry units
Team-oriented with a patient-first mindset
