Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate emergency care to patients across multiple facilities in the Denver zone
• Assess and prioritize patients presenting with conditions ranging from abdominal pain to stroke and trauma
• Administer standard ER medications and perform point-of-care lab testing
• Interpret cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Float between ER departments within the 60-mile zone to support staffing needs and patient flow

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Flexibility to float within the designated 60-mile zone
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing across varied trauma levels and patient volumes
• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Point-of-care laboratory testing procedures
• Managing patients with abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Working collaboratively in fast-paced ER environments
• Adapting quickly to different facility protocols and teams
