Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate emergency care to patients across multiple facilities in the Zone 1 float pool
Assess, triage, and treat a wide variety of conditions from abdominal pain to trauma and stroke
Administer standard ER medications and drips while monitoring patient response
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Perform point-of-care lab testing and interpret telemetry strips with confidence
Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and other Zone 1 sites as needed

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of recent emergency department experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for varied acuity levels
Comfort working in fast-paced environments with 40-168 patients per day
Team-oriented approach with excellent communication
Flexibility to float within a 60-mile radius and adapt to different facility workflows
