Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM (4x10 day schedule); Every other weekend required — Saturday-Sunday, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM; Holidays required; Day shifts, no overnight. No RTO/schedule requests can be accommodated.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients promptly to ensure safe, timely care
• Provide hands-on urgent care treatments including wound care, splinting, and suturing support
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and monitor oxygenation and vital signs
• Start IVs, perform venipuncture/phlebotomy, and administer medications (IM, IV, SC, intradermal)
• Deliver immunizations and routine vaccine administration per facility guidelines
• Conduct telephone triage and follow-up calls with clarity and compassion
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the charting system (Epic preferred)
• Float within your scope to meet facility needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years outpatient nursing experience
• At least 1 year Urgent Care or Emergency Room experience
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations
• Pending licenses are not accepted; must have active, clear licensure
• Locals within a 50-mile radius are accepted; first-timers to travel accepted

Education

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license

Knowledge & Skills

• Vital signs, patient assessment and triage expertise
• 12‑lead EKG/ECG acquisition and basic interpretation
• IV insertion/starting IVs and phlebotomy/venipuncture skills
• Medication administration across routes (IM, IV, SC, intradermal)
• Wound care, stitches/suture removal and splinting
• Immunizations and specimen collection (throat, urine, capillary, vaginal)
• Oxygen administration and basic respiratory support (nebulizers)
• Telephone triage, patient education, and familiarity with Epic charting
