Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients on telemetry, interpreting cardiac rhythms and trends
Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care throughout the shift
Communicate clinical changes promptly to the interdisciplinary care team
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the chart
Administer treatments and medications as ordered, following safety protocols
Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California preferred)
Experience working on a telemetry unit (telemetry skill listed in role)
Comfort with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Strong communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced care settings
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
Clinical assessment and patient triage
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
Prioritization and time management in a per-diem environment
