Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care to adults with cardiac monitoring needs
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips and alert the team to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, telemetry findings, and discharge instructions with clarity and empathy
• Participate in shift handoffs and unit communication to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (required)
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (as listed in the job posting)
• Telemetry nursing experience or comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or available
• Comfort working night/overnight shifts and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry rhythm recognition and cardiac assessment skills
• Solid clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in an acute care setting
• Effective communication and teamwork with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Accurate documentation and time management under busy shift conditions
• Adaptability to facility workflows as a travel clinician
