Roles & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate outpatient surgical procedures for multiple surgeons and specialties to keep the ASC running smoothly
• Serve as a proactive liaison between surgeons' offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to ensure clear communication
• Ensure all cases adhere to ASC policies, block utilization rules, and surgeon availability for efficient OR use
• Manage schedule adjustments, cancellations, and same-day add-ons while maintaining steady patient flow
• Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing leadership to optimize daily case volume and room utilization
• Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ASC scheduling system to support operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, AAAHC/Joint Commission standards and protect patient confidentiality
• Provide exceptional customer service as a front-facing representative of the ASC
• Perform additional administrative and scheduling-related duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience with outpatient surgical scheduling in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or similar setting
• Proficiency with ASC scheduling systems and managing block utilization and case scheduling
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and accreditation standards (AAAHC / Joint Commission)
• Strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with patients and clinical teams
• Ability to manage multiple surgeon schedules, prioritize tasks, and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort coordinating with anesthesia and nursing leadership on daily operations
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle schedule changes, cancellations, and same-day add-ons
