Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
- Assess and monitor pediatric patients continuously, responding to changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Participate in orientation and training to support unit excellence and continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential (required)
- Experience or background in Pediatric Intensive Care / PICU
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary pediatric critical care team
- Strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills
- Willingness to participate in orientation and unit-specific training
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational knowledge of pediatric critical care principles
- Skilled in patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical documentation
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-acuity pediatric environment
