Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem and beta-blockers
Provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond to changing patient needs
Collaborate with charge nurses and support staff to maintain safe 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratios
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed while delivering excellent patient care
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of PCU experience preferred
Strong cardiac monitoring and drip titration skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia recognition
Safe drip titration techniques
Continuous EEG monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Critical thinking and quick problem-solving
Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
