Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry equipment while delivering expert patient care
Administer chemotherapy treatments and manage complex medication regimens for oncology patients
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and specialty resource RNs
Float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed while maintaining excellent standards of care
Complete thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Chemo certification preferred
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass pre-employment skills assessments including sterile field competency

Knowledge & Skills

Oncology nursing fundamentals and chemotherapy administration
Cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Sterile technique and central line care
Patient education and emotional support for cancer patients
Bipap and Cpap ventilator management
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
