Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, with self-scheduling and 2 weekends required per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse MedSurg/Tele patient population
Interpret basic telemetry strips and document findings each shift
Collaborate with remote monitor techs and the interdisciplinary team
Support patients through post-surgical recovery, stroke care, and chronic condition management
Administer medications including set-rate drips like Diltiazem
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed, broadening your experience

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to read and interpret basic telemetry strips
Experience with general surgical, orthopedic, CVA, and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip documentation
MedSurg/Tele nursing fundamentals
Patient education and post-operative care
Electronic medical record navigation with Cerner
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
