Location: Bakersfield, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekends, and rotating holiday on-call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures with precision and care
Deliver high-quality nuclear medicine imaging that supports accurate patient diagnoses
Collaborate with the lead technologist and radiologist to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols to provide a secure environment for every patient
Float to Mercy Downtown campus when needed to support seamless departmental operations

Qualifications

Active CA NMTL license required
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Radnet and Merge Unity systems
Experience operating GE nuclear medicine equipment
Strong understanding of cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
Excellent attention to detail and patient care focus
