Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients awaiting placement from the emergency department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving to med/surg/tele units
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to various med/surg/tele and overflow units across campuses as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
Strong ability to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
Comfortable passing a dysrhythmia exam and SIM lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Cardiac drip titration including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Patient assessment and monitoring for med/surg/tele patients
IV starts and medication administration
Floating between multiple units and campuses with ease
