Physical Therapist
Location: Merced, California
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday schedule with weekend coverage split Wednesday-Sunday and Sunday-Wednesday for PT travelers; 10-hour shifts may be considered
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional outpatient physical therapy services across diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team including OT and ST professionals in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide specialized care for orthopedic, neurological, and pulmonary patients while supporting early mobility programs
- Float between inpatient acute care and outpatient center locations to meet varying patient needs
- Contribute to JCAHO-certified stroke care and total joint program initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California Physical Therapist license required
- BLS certification required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Experience with diverse patient populations including orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions
- Willingness to float between inpatient and outpatient settings
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability to work across multiple care settings
- Knowledge of early mobility protocols and stroke care standards
- Comfort working with both adult and geriatric populations
