Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, varied start times for 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts; block scheduling available

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and robotic procedures in the CVOR
Prepare and maintain sterile fields while anticipating the needs of the surgical team
Collaborate with RNs and staff to ensure smooth case flow across 22-45 daily procedures
Respond to on-call shifts and provide backup support for emergent cases
Float to Main OR for vascular cases when experienced and support robotics procedures

Qualifications

Active Washington state license required
Current BLS certification
Robotics experience preferred but not required; training provided on Da Vinci XI system
Scrub experience preferred for RNs but not mandatory
Ability to take 8-9 call shifts per month with 30-minute response time

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with EPIC EMR documentation
Comfort working in high-volume cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases
Ability to adapt to varied shift lengths and call schedules
Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
