Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro post-surgical and stroke patients
Monitor and interpret EKGs with centralized telemetry support
Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical supervisors to deliver excellent outcomes
Maintain sterile field techniques and support safe patient environments
Educate patients and families on recovery plans after neurosurgery or stroke events

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent neuro or telemetry experience within the last 6 months
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer
Comfortable with sterile field techniques and EKG interpretation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong neuro assessment and post-craniotomy care skills
Proficient with centralized telemetry and EKG interpretation
Knowledge of stroke care including post-TPA protocols
Excellent sterile technique and infection prevention practices
Ability to work collaboratively with hospitalists and respiratory therapy teams
