Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling with trades allowed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
Independently manage patient care with strong clinical judgment in all areas
Titrate Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips safely and effectively
Support laboring patients and assist with deliveries in a low-risk environment
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac telemetry with precision
Collaborate with the care team as a reliable backup for fellow nurses
Float to other units as a helping hand when needed

Qualifications

Active Oregon nursing license or eligibility for 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently across all care areas with minimal supervision
Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules

Knowledge & Skills

L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery expertise
Titration of Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate drips
Fetal monitoring and maternal cardiac telemetry interpretation
Bubble CPAP and ventilator stabilization skills
AWHONN-aligned patient ratios and evidence-based care practices
