Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Titrate cardiac and critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while delivering timely interventions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, stroke, and post-procedure needs
Float to Med-Surg or ICU when needed, adapting quickly to changing patient acuity
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication education, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and drip titration skills
Comfort reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
Flexibility to float and adapt to different units and patient populations
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Cultural sensitivity when caring for diverse communities
